Duties & Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities: 

General Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze new entrant launch vehicle subsystems for compliance with certification design, test, and performance requirements
    • Coordinates requirements verification with Manufacturing and Quality Assurance team members
    • Support development and execution of project engineering certification audit plans
    • Develop technical and risk assessments of launch vehicle subsystems
    • Support and if necessary, assist with conducting technical reviews such as engineering review boards and various design reviews
      • Capture, update, and resolve risks, issues, risk mitigation plans, and data requests supporting technical reviews
      • Interfaces with certification representatives to include USAF, Government, New Entrant, FFRDC, and other Government agencies
      • Applies company quality assurance requirements to all certification products, reports, and reviews.
      • Reports on status of sub-system activities and products.
      • Other Duties as Assigned

Other Job Requirements: Initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making, successful collaboration with multiple agencies and personnel, excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated competency in Microsoft tools including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Information Technology (IT) systems and SharePoint-type databases. Demonstrated ability to resolve quality issues effectively.



  • Experience with Air Force Launch and Range systems is highly desired.
  • Ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams of DOD, USAF, NASA, NRO, and Contractor personnel.
  • Proven ability to work independently without significant oversight and direction and produce on time. 
  • Willingness and ability to respond to leadership requests and back up colleagues as required. 
  • Ability to work proactively and responsively, identify and address customer concerns rapidly. 
  • Ability and willingness to provide Customers and colleagues accepted mentoring on people, processes, and parts, company processes, launch operations, engineering common sense, careers, etc. 
  • Ability to write clear, concise, structured reports on projects, progress, path forward, and include risk assessments and actionable recommendations. 
  • Ability and willingness to flex work schedules as required or work from remote locations. 
  • Examples of previous work and Personal References highly desired. 


Minimum education required: 

Associate or Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering, Math, Physical Sciences, or related field.


Work Experience: 

  • Must have, at minimum, 10 years of experience launch vehicle/space sub-system and systems engineering expertise.   Experience conducting and assessing systems engineering reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, SDR, etc.

Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI Clearance Required
